Brussels sprouts with smoked sausage – LCHF

I love the taste of cabbage. Sour, fresh, baked in the oven or… really small. A lot of people believe that cabbage tastes differently from Brussels sprouts, but it’s only the cooking style that differs. They smell identical, and this comes from someone that removed the nasty leaves from half kilo in one long hour.

This recipe is incredibly simple and full of flavors. The preparation itself doesn’t take long, but cleaning off the veggies does, so all you, girls, have to do is find someone to put a knife in their hands and say, with an adorable face: “Can you help me with these cuties? It only takes a minute.”

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg Brussels sprouts cut in halves
  • 200 grams sliced smoked sausages
  • salt
  • pepper
  • chilli
  • 1/2 glass of water

In a well heated wok, place the sausages to fry. They will release enough fat, so you won’t need extra. I added the Brussels sprouts and the spices, mixing with a wooden spoon. When the outside leaves become golden crispy, add the water, put a lid on and adjust the heat to minimum. After the water is evaporated, I adjusted again the heat, just to fry them a little bit more, constantly mixing in the wok. Perfect dinner!
